Job Description PostgreSQL Developer Job Title: PostgreSQL Developer Location: Chennai Parrys Corner Experience: 4+ Years Openings: 1 Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days (Preferred) Qualification: B.E./B.Tech (Any Engineering Discipline) or Full-time PG in Computer Science Job Summary We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Developer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL database development, optimization, and administration. The ideal candidate should possess strong SQL and PL/pgSQL programming skills, expertise in performance tuning, and experience in database design and maintenance. The role requires close collaboration with development teams to build scalable and high-performing database solutions. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases and database objects. - Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views using PL/pgSQL. - Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing. - Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability. - Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. - Collaborate with application developers to design productive database solutions. - Support database migrations, upgrades, and deployments. - Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards. - Prepare and maintain technical documentation for database processes. Required Skills - 4+ years of experience with PostgreSQL database development. - Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL. - Experience with database performance tuning and query optimization. - Knowledge of indexing, partitioning, and database replication. - Experience with backup and recovery procedures. - Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting is an added advantage. - Experience with version control systems such as Git. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Skills - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Knowledge of database migration tools and ETL processes. - Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
