As a Problem Manager & Major Incident Manager, you will be responsible for efficiently managing IT problems and incidents to minimize their impact on the organization. Your role will involve identifying root causes of issues, implementing preventive measures, and ensuring continuous improvement within the IT service environment. Key Responsibilities: - Quickly assess and classify incidents to determine their impact and urgency. - Identify major incidents based on predefined criteria and serve as the central point of contact. - Coordinate and lead cross-functional incident response teams to address incidents promptly. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, technical teams, and end-users. - Provide timely and accurate updates on incident status and resolution progress. - Monitor and guide the incident resolution process, ensuring effective resource allocation. - Collaborate with technical teams to facilitate service restoration and minimize downtime. - Analyze incident and problem data to identify recurring issues. - Conduct thorough root cause analysis to determine underlying reasons for problems. - Lead efforts to resolve problems promptly and prevent recurrence by implementing workarounds or solutions. - Coordinate with Change Management to ensure changes address identified problems. - Propose and implement proactive measures to prevent known problems from recurring. - Maintain a knowledge base of known problems and documented solutions. - Generate regular problem reports to stakeholders and drive continuous improvement in problem management processes. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 4-6 years of experience as a Problem and MIM Manager. - Technical skills in problem/incident identification, analysis, and resolution. - ITIL V4 Foundation certification required. - Additional ITSM/relevant certifications would be an add-on. This role requires strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and analytical skills. You will collaborate with various ITIL processes and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to problem resolution. Your ability to make critical decisions, drive continuous improvement, and effectively manage incidents will be crucial in maintaining the continuity and reliability of IT services.
