Senior Specialist Network Monitoring Engineer

OverviewBased in Hyderabad, this role is part of a global healthcare biopharma company with a 130year legacy. The position supports the technology centers mission to deliver digital solutions that improve lives through prescription medicines, vaccines, and animal health products. ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage one or more network monitoring tools within the environment.Act as a technical architect to develop and refine the overall monitoring strategy, architecture, and roadmaps.Provide technical leadership for the planning, deployment, and optimization of the enterpriselevel network monitoring environment.Collaborate with other network professionals across product teams to convert new ideas into tangible solutions.Manage accurate inventory of monitored devices, ensuring alignment with corporate monitoring catalogues and addressing exception requests.Troubleshoot complex network monitoring issues, develop remediation plans, and deliver permanent resolutions.Advocate automation to streamline operations and increase efficiency.QualificationsMinimum 10 years experience as a network monitoring engineer.Proficiency with monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor, NetBrain, ThousandEyes, BigPanda, Dynatrace, and logging solutions; strong experience with NetBrain is advantageous.Strong networking knowledge at the CCNP level (certification is a plus).Demonstrated experience managing complex projects.Broad understanding of networking technologies and orchestration.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including clear proposals and presentations for management, stakeholders, and executives.Ability to coordinate tasks and articulate complex technical ideas accurately.Adaptable to evolving work processes, evaluating new ideas for practicality and implementation ease.Solid understanding of service management principles and ITIL practices.Experience in an international environment.Bachelors degree from an accredited institution or equivalent corporate experience.Technical & Tool SkillsObservability best practices and key components.Analytical tools: Excel, Dataiku, Spotfire, PowerBI.Basic scripting skills in Python and Ansible.Knowledge of Syslog, log collection, analytics.A passion for data and strong data evangelism.Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Network as a Service (NaaS).Preferred SkillsAvailability Management, Change Controls, Incident Management, Problem Management, Quality Assurance, Service Delivery, SLA Management, Software Configurations, SDLC, Testing.
