Specialist SAP Test Engineer

Role OverviewJob Title: SAP Test Engineer Location: Hyderabad, India As a SAP Test Engineer, you will ensure the quality and functionality of enterprise SAP software solutions by designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test plans and scripts. You will collaborate closely with development teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to detect and resolve defects, thereby supporting the delivery of robust, userready applications. ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed test plans and test cases based on functional specifications, user stories, and SAP requirements.Perform functional, regression, integration, system, security, and rolebased testing for SAP modules.Execute automated test scripts and analyze results to identify defects or performance issues.Conduct manual testing for complex scenarios that cannot be automated.Document, log, and trace defects using mandatory bugtracking tools; work with development to reproduce, troubleshoot, and verify fixes.Perform rootcause analysis and develop corrective action plans for repeated or critical issues.Maintain and enhance automated test suites (e.g., using TOSCA or equivalent frameworks) to improve test efficiency.Attend product design and requirements review meetings to provide testing insight and flag potential risks.Execute postrelease and postimplementation testing to validate that all specifications are met and that applications remain stable.Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.QualificationsBachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technology field.5+ years of experience in SAP testing, preferably in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment.Proficiency in SAP modules such as FI, CO, MM, SD, QM, PM, PP, WM, EWM, ARIBA, Concur, Fieldglass, SAP Cloud Commerce, ATTP Serialization, and understanding of S/4HANA.Experience with SAP APIs, SAP BTP/Integration Suite, and integration testing using SOAP, REST, IDOC, ODATA.Handson knowledge of testing methodologies: manual, automated, performance, and load testing.Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, XRAY, TOSCA, HP ALM, LoadRunner, LiveCompare Analytics.Programming knowledge of ABAP or similar is beneficial for understanding backend processes.Strong analytical, problemsolving, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.Preferred CertificationsITSQB Certified Tester or Advanced Test Manager.Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Agile Tester Certification (CAT).Certified Software Tester (CSTE) or Quality Assurance and Testing (QAT).Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.Benefits and Work EnvironmentPosition is hybrid with flexible work arrangements.
