Role Overview: As an IT Director, your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's goals and objectives. You will identify emerging technologies and trends to enhance the organization's IT capabilities. Additionally, you will supervise and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, and providing guidance for professional growth. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the day-to-day IT operations, ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of the organization's technology infrastructure, networks, systems, and applications. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures. - Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the IT budget. Optimize the allocation of resources to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. - Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts, monitor service level agreements, and ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms and conditions. - Lead IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the desired objectives. Define project scope, allocate resources, manage risks, and communicate progress to stakeholders. - Develop and implement IT security policies, procedures, and controls to protect the organization's data and systems from unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats. Stay updated on the latest security best practices and regulatory requirements. - Collaborate with the IT support team to provide technical support to end-users. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employees' IT skills and promote the effective use of technology. - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies related to IT. Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, including risk management and audit processes. - Collaborate with other departments and senior leadership to understand their technology needs and provide guidance on leveraging IT to achieve business objectives. Build strong relationships and communicate IT initiatives and achievements to stakeholders. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred. - 10+ years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record of strategic planning, team leadership, and project management. - Strong knowledge of IT operations management, budgeting, vendor management, information security, user support, and IT governance. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills. - Relevant certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or ITIL are a plus.
