Technical Lead Data Engineer

Job Title: Lead Data Engineer Job Type: Full Time Location: Remote About the Role We're looking for a hands-on Lead Data Engineer to build and scale our next-generation data platform powering analytics and AI-driven products. You'll lead the design of scalable data pipelines, cloud-native architectures, and AI-enabled data services while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions. Key Responsibilities Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL . Architect robust data models, APIs, and cloud-native data platforms on AWS . Build reliable data pipelines for analytics, reporting, and AI-powered applications. Design and implement LLM and RAG solutions using vector databases and AI frameworks. Optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance and scalability. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams to deliver business-critical features. Drive engineering best practices, code quality, testing, and data governance. Mentor engineers through design reviews and technical leadership. Required Skills 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Backend Engineering. Strong expertise in Python , SQL , and PostgreSQL . Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data modeling. Experience with AWS (RDS, S3, Lambda, Redshift, Glue). Experience building AI-enabled applications using LLMs , RAG , LangChain/LlamaIndex , vector databases, and semantic search. Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI . Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and scalable architectures. Excellent problem-solving and Python coding skills. Nice to Have Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Spark Docker, Kubernetes CI/CD, Terraform Startup or SaaS product experience What We're Looking For A passionate, hands-on engineer with strong Python, SQL, and cloud expertise who enjoys building scalable data platforms and AI-powered applications.
