Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at the IT Services Organization, your role will involve developing and maintaining ETL workflows and data transformations to support analytics and reporting needs. You will be responsible for writing complex SQL queries, views, aggregations, and optimizing performance using advanced techniques. Additionally, you will design and validate dimensional data models, including star schema and snowflake schema. It is essential to apply normalization and advanced SQL concepts such as CTEs, window functions, and ranking/aggregate functions. Moreover, you will utilize Excel (including advanced formulas) and analytics/visualization tools to analyze data and present insights. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain ETL workflows and data transformations for analytics and reporting. - Write complex SQL queries, views, aggregations, and optimize performance. - Design and validate dimensional data models like star schema and snowflake schema. - Apply normalization and advanced SQL concepts like CTEs, window functions, and ranking/aggregate functions. - Utilize Excel and analytics/visualization tools for data analysis and insights presentation. Qualifications Required: - 5-8 years of relevant experience in data analysis, ETL, and SQL. - Strong data analysis skills and experience in stakeholder-ready reporting. - Expertise in ETL and SQL, including complex query development and optimization. - Experience in dimensional data modeling (star schema and snowflake schema) and data modeling fundamentals. - Proficiency in MS SQL Server and T-SQL for building queries, views, and performance tuning. Good to Have: - Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and experience in data modeling for warehouse environments. - Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation. - Understanding of AWS cloud services.
