As a Private Credit Legal Data Validation Specialist, your main responsibility will be to validate AI-extracted legal and commercial fields against executed source documents for U.S. and European executed credit agreements in the direct lending sector. You will ensure that the extracted data is accurate and suitable for portfolio-wide reporting and governance as the usage scales. Your role will involve operating as an extension of the client data team and performing field-by-field validation of extracted terms across credit documents, resolving any discrepancies that may arise. You will also be confirming key commercial and legal provisions such as pricing, covenants, events of default, security, and reporting. It will be essential for you to document outcomes, exceptions, and escalation items in a structured and auditable manner. Key Responsibilities: - Validate AI-extracted legal/commercial fields against executed source documents - Perform field-by-field validation of extracted terms across credit documents - Resolve discrepancies and confirm key commercial/legal provisions - Document outcomes, exceptions, and escalation items in a structured, auditable manner - Review and correct Street Diligence outputs - Flag recurring extraction gaps or ambiguous provisions - Provide feedback to improve extraction accuracy and field-level performance - Contribute to validation protocols, quality thresholds, and continuous improvement of workflows Qualifications Required: - Experience reviewing credit/loan agreements (legal, paralegal, credit operations, or legal ops background) - Strong private credit/direct lending understanding with the ability to read and interpret complex contractual language - High attention to detail with a clear bias for accuracy and auditability In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, you will need to apply your private credit and direct lending documentation fluency to interpret nuanced drafting, handle both U.S. and European agreement conventions, and support consistent interpretation standards to reduce recurring validation issues. You will collaborate with client data, legal, operations, and portfolio reporting stakeholders to address data quality risks, provide timely status updates, and exception reporting for agreed deliverables, as well as escalate complex legal interpretations to the appropriate owners while keeping reviews moving.
