Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

As an experienced QA Automation Tester with 3-10 years of experience, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Designing and developing automation/performance solutions that adhere to organization standards, ensuring the creation of reliable, reusable, and maintainable automated regression suites & test harnesses. - Creating tools and frameworks with quality code to simplify testing scenarios. - Developing test plans, test cases based on functional and design specifications, executing test cases, and analyzing/reporting test results to the teams. - Collaborating with development teams to deliver business functionality on time with the required quality that meets acceptance criteria. - Acting as a test lead, working effectively as an individual contributor, and leading the team by setting an example. - Providing guidance and assistance to project staff using strong testing skills. - Reviewing and approving the work of project team members in writing scripts, expected results, test results, and defect descriptions, ensuring best practices are followed and testing activities stay on schedule. - Focusing on building efficient solutions for Web, Services/APIs, and Database testing requirements. - Participating in internal/cross-team meetings, project scoping, functional reviews, test specifications, and technical reviews for assigned projects in an Agile environment. - Involvement in requirements review and architecture/design reviews with a focus on test automation/performance strategy and best practices. - Active participation in functional, system, and regression testing activities. - Capturing quality assurance data and metrics to provide insights and conclusions. - Estimating and performing risk analysis for quality delivery. - Being an Agile evangelist. Qualifications: - 3+ years of software testing experience in all phases of testing, including test planning, execution, and closure for all layers: API, DB, and UI. - Excellent understanding of QA and testing methodologies, best practices. - 3+ years of experience as an Automation QA Tester. - 3+ years of experience creating/maintaining and executing automation tests using tools such as Selenium (Python essential). - Experience creating/maintaining automation frameworks is preferred. - Experience with DevOps pipeline in a containerized environment using Azure DevOps/Jenkins is preferred. - Expertise in using complex SQL to query databases is required. - Expertise with DB processes, data validation, transformation logics, and data migration. - Knowledge of file storage in S3, data validation with clob, blob, and messaging systems like Kafka, JMS is preferred. - Knowledge of automation with applications built on Angular JS, Spread JS is preferred. - Exposure to distributed source control systems like Git. - Experience with test data management techniques. - Knowledge of Function as a Service, Container as a Service, Data Virtualization (Denodo) is preferred. - Experience with change management and defect tracking tools. - Familiarity with the Defect Triage process and identification, tracking of corrective actions. - Eagerness to become a domain expert and learn new technologies. - Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication. - High standards of confidentiality, ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and trust. - Knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS/Azure and experience testing micro-services, containers, Dockers is preferred. Education: - Bachelor's or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent is preferred.
