Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and testing mechanical components and systems using CAD software. Your primary focus will be on translating product requirements into functional 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings, with an emphasis on creating manufacturable and cost-effective designs. In addition, you will be conducting FEA/simulations, prototyping, and supporting production teams to meet quality and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: - Design & Modeling: Create 2D/3D models and detailed drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Pro/Engineer. - Analysis & Validation: Perform FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and simulations to validate design performance, safety, and reliability. - Prototyping & Testing: Build and test prototypes, conducting Design Validation Trials (DVT) and Production Validation Trials (PVT). - Create BOMs (Bill of Materials) and engineering specifications while maintaining documentation standards. - Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, electrical, and project teams to optimize designs for cost, ergonomics, and manufacturability. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - Software Proficiency: Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) and analysis tools. - Ability to resolve complex mechanical issues and optimize designs.
