About the role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and testing mechanical components and systems using CAD software. Your role will involve translating product requirements into functional 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings, with a focus on creating manufacturable and cost-effective designs that meet quality and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: - Design & Modeling: You will create 2D/3D models and detailed drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Pro/Engineer. - Analysis & Validation: You will perform FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and simulations to validate design performance, safety, and reliability. - Prototyping & Testing: Your tasks will include building and testing prototypes, conducting Design Validation Trials (DVT) and Production Validation Trials (PVT). - Documentation & Collaboration: You will create BOMs (Bill of Materials) and engineering specifications while maintaining documentation standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with manufacturing, electrical, and project teams to optimize designs for cost, ergonomics, and manufacturability. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - Software Proficiency: Strong CAD skills in software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Creo, along with proficiency in analysis tools. - Ability to resolve complex mechanical issues and optimize designs. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from concept to production, and contribute to the development of innovative mechanical solutions.
