Design Manager

Job Title: Design Manager Company: Navayuga Engineering Company Ltd Location: Thane, Maharashtra Department: Design & Engineering Reporting to: Project Director / Head Design & Engineering Job Summary: Navayuga Engineering Company Ltd is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Design Manager for our prestigious Thane Coastal Road Project. The role requires an M.Tech -qualified Civil Engineer with deep expertise in road and highway design, capable of leading the design team and coordinating with multiple stakeholders for successful project execution. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the design and engineering activities for the Thane Coastal Road Project. • Review and approve geometric and structural designs for roads, interchanges, flyovers, and associated civil infrastructure. • Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes and standards including IRC, MoRTH, AASHTO, and BIS. • Collaborate with external design consultants, authorities, and internal teams for timely design approvals. • Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and constructability. • Supervise the preparation of working drawings, design reports, BOQs, and technical documentation. • Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Road, Open Roads, etc., for design development and validation. • Provide engineering support during construction and handle design-related queries and modifications. • Ensure timely submission of design deliverables in line with project milestones. • Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards. Qualifications & Experience: • Educational Qualification: M. Tech in Transportation Engineering / Highway Engineering / Structural Engineering. • Experience: 10 to 15 years in the design of roads, highways, or coastal infrastructure. • Strong command of design codes (IRC, MoRTH, AASHTO). • Hands-on experience with relevant design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Road, etc.). • Excellent coordination, leadership, and communication skills. • Prior experience in coastal/urban road projects will be an added advantage. Preferred Background: • Experience in EPC/HAM infrastructure projects. • Ability to work under tight deadlines and dynamic project conditions. • Proven record in delivering complex road infrastructure projects in urban environments.
