Production Process Engineer

About the Role We are looking for a Production Engineer (SMT) to oversee SMT production operations, optimize manufacturing processes, troubleshoot equipment issues, support NPI activities, and ensure high quality, productivity, and on-time production through continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities: Execute and monitor SMT production processes, including solder paste printing, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow, AOI, and PCB assembly. Ensure production targets are achieved with optimum quality, yield, and productivity. Troubleshoot process and machine issues to minimize downtime and improve First Pass Yield (FPY). Support New Product Introduction (NPI), process validation, machine setup, and product changeovers. Analyze production defects, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). Maintain SOPs, process documentation, IPC/ESD compliance, and production records. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies. Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth production operations. Preferred Skills: Experience in SMT manufacturing and PCB assembly. Hands-on knowledge of SPI, AOI, Pick & Place machines, and Reflow ovens. Familiarity with IPC standards, ESD practices, NPI, RCA, CAPA, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S. Experience in electronics manufacturing, EMS, smart metering, or embedded electronics is preferred.
