About the role
As a meticulous Dev Ops engineer at NCR VOYIX, you will be responsible for contributing to the creation and management of a robust Continuous Test and Promotion pipeline. Your role will involve both lab management and deployment activities, focusing on the seamlessness, robustness, and efficiency of spinning up labs for various customer testing. To excel in this position, you should possess advanced programming skills, be well-versed with CICD tools, networks, and servers, and have a passion for designing, development, and testing software. Responsibilities: - Understand the entire system end-to-end and be involved in every step of the lab deployment and management process. - Develop a strategy and automate the deployment of labs consisting of 20+ products. - Maintain network topology for the solution and develop scripts to verify communication between machines. - Investigate network issues and collaborate with Global IT as needed. - Detect and diagnose local/lab networking problems. - Configure Linux networking (netplan, iproute2) and be familiar with common Linux terminology. - Understand key networking fundamentals and protocols such as IP addressing, subnetting, routing, VLANS, DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc. - Configure Linux networking (netplan, iptables, network namespaces, routing tables). - Work with network edge technologies like NAT, firewalls, BGP, and reverse proxies. - Containerize an existing application following best practices and debug issues within Kubernetes. - Understand GCP configuration, containerization, helm charts, Edge Infra, and Edge O/S compatibility matrix. - Develop a continuous testing pipeline, deploy monitoring tools, and manage lab architecture for both virtual and physical labs. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 6 to 8 years of experience in System Administration. - Strong background in Windows environments, especially Windows WEB, IIS, DNS, and DHCP servers. - Experience with K8s, GCP, network configurations, monitoring tools, and virtualization solutions. - Knowledge of best practices in IT operations and automation/configuration management tools. - Ability to work with open-source technologies and cloud services like Azure, GCP, AWS.
