About the role
As an Automation Test Engineer at NCR Voyix, your role will involve automating tests for Retail Solutions in the Japanese market. Your responsibilities will include: - Automating regression suites using tools like Selenium, JMeter, C#, Java, and SQL. - Developing and executing test automations. - Modifying test systems for implementation. - Investigating and resolving customer problems with technical support. - Providing technical support during software installation and configuration. - Identifying program deviations and suggesting modifications for compliance. - Offering feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality. - Planning test schedules and strategies according to project scope and delivery dates. - Designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. - Reviewing software documentation for accuracy and completeness. - Developing standards, methods, or procedures for product quality. - Participating in product design reviews and providing input on functional requirements. - Knowing Japanese language is preferable. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software design, or equivalent. - Minimum of 7+ years of experience in related disciplines. - Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an Agile environment. - Automation experience required. - Experience setting up and troubleshooting hardware for test environments. - Experience with Quality Center, Practitest, or equivalent test management software. - Experience with SQL, C#, Java, JMeter, and Selenium is advantageous. - Ability to follow complex instructions and achieve desired results. - Professional certification is a plus. - Ability to create and execute manual test scripts in an Agile environment. - Strong knowledge of development methodologies. - Ability to drive projects to completion and remove roadblocks. - Ability to communicate with end-users on application functionality. - Analytical thinking skills and problem-solving methodologies. - Adaptable to new technologies and platforms. - Willingness to learn new technologies as necessary. - Team-oriented, goal-driven, and task-oriented. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Designer Specialty Retail and Food Drug POS solutions. - Experience with POS and Self-Checkout Integrations. - Experience with GCP Cloud development.
