Postgre SQL (Pune)

Role & responsibilities - Minimum of 6 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA, with expertise in managing 24/7 production environments. - Proven experience with EDB products and certifications is essential. - Strong proficiency in shell scripting for database automation and maintenance tasks. - Hands-on experience with high-availability solutions, including replication, clustering, and failover strategies. - Expertise in disaster recovery planning and implementation. - Familiarity with Linux (RHEL & OEL) and Windows server environments. - Robust analytical skills for performance monitoring and optimization using tools like PGBENCH. Preferred candidate profile - Provide advanced support for application databases hosted on Azure, including EDB PostgreSQL and Postgres community editions. - Implement and maintain high availability solutions using EDB Postgres Advanced Server, including configuration, streaming replication, and failover management. - Design and implement disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity. - Perform on-demand support for system failures, disaster recovery drills, and high-availability testing. - Conduct periodic reviews of PostgreSQL log files to identify potential risks and performance issues proactively. - Manage database patching, including minor and major upgrades, to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure. - Monitor and optimize PostgreSQL performance by configuring parameters and providing recommendations for indexing and query tuning. - Collaborate with project teams to optimize PostgreSQL configurations based on specific requirements. .
