About the role
Position: Specialist System Engineer VMware Virtualization Experience: 58 Years Location: Bengaluru. Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Specialist System Engineer with robust expertise in VMware Virtualization to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise virtual infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with VMware technologies, server virtualization, storage integration, troubleshooting, and infrastructure administration in large enterprise settings. Key Responsibilities Administer and manage VMware vSphere infrastructure (ESXi Hosts & vCenter Server). Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching of VMware environments. Monitor virtual infrastructure performance and ensure high availability. Configure and manage VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and Distributed Switches. Provision, clone, migrate, and decommission virtual machines. Troubleshoot VMware-related performance, storage, networking, and hardware issues. Work with storage and backup teams for SAN/NAS integration and backup solutions. Perform capacity planning, resource optimization, and health checks. Handle incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem management. Maintain infrastructure documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks. Collaborate with Windows, Linux, Network, Storage, and Cloud teams. Participate in disaster recovery (DR) planning, testing, and implementation. Support automation initiatives using PowerCLI or scripting where applicable.
