Network Administrator Network Administrator Job Duties APPLY Design, install, and support clients data/ messaging network and computer systems; gather data to identify client needs and use the information to identify, interpret, and evaluate the system and network requirements; coordinate efforts with software engineers to ensure all network devices conform to defined network standards; schedule proposed network changes and work with major business units to identify impact; install, configure, and support client LAN, WAN, network segments, and internet/ intranet systems using Cisco, Juniper, Citrix, PIX firewalls, and related devices; implement network monitoring system and report network status using Orion NPM/ NCM; maintain network hardware and software; monitor and adjust the performance of the network to ensure network availability to all system users, and perform necessary maintenance and testing to support network availability; configure and test new Internet circuits, perform DNS changes for organization internal and external networks, work on Data center migration, device up- grades, and testing; troubleshoot problems reported by users and by automated network monitoring systems and provide technical support; maintain documentation database of network topology; and survey the current computer site to determine future network needs and make recommendations for future system upgrades. Minimum Education Qualifications Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree); will accept a bachelor equivalent based on a combination of education and experience as determined by a professional evaluation service; Experience Two (2) years in the position above, or as a Software Engineer, or in a related occupation; Other Requirements Experience must include work with Cisco, Juniper, and Citrix; job may require relocation within the U. S.
