About the role
Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations; gather and interpret functional specifications and user requirements; confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems; coordinate installation, configuration, and support of the LAN, WAN, and internet system; coordinate operation of master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use; assist lower level programmers in the design, configuration, and testing of computer hardware, networking software and operating system software; monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability; diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary; and utilize the following tools: Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris, Veritas NetBackup, Cisco switches, Emulex, Powerpath, CLARiiON CX, DATA ONTAP, EMC, DMX, SRDF, Mirrorview, Celerra, NetApp, and related tools. Minimum Education Qualifications Master degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Networks, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree) ; Experience Three (3) years of experience in the position above, or as a Systems Analyst, Developer, or in a related occupation; Other Requirements Experience must include work with CLARiiON CX, DATA ONTAP, EMC, and NetApp.
