About the role
As a strong mobile test automation developer and mobile manual tester, your role will involve building and delivering efficient test automation for driving mobile testing of systems and logic to ensure quality releases and products. You must have a good foundation in testing mobile applications software and developing automation solutions for Android and/or iOS. Your primary responsibility will be testing and debugging native applications for mobile devices. You will contribute to the team's existing automated testing framework by enhancing it through designing/developing automated test cases and converting existing manual test cases to automated ones. It is expected that you adhere to industry best practices of source control, code review, and automated testing. Key Responsibilities: - Test native mobile applications manually and via automation, with a focus on automation - Understand requirements, design and build manual and automated test scenarios for mobile apps' features and logic - Adopt various testing methodologies to ensure features are usable, reliable, and work as designed - Design and implement test scripts, automated UI tests, and monitoring structures - Test all functionalities and features of mobile applications on handheld devices - Conduct performance/load testing and coordinate with development teams for benchmarking - Work closely with mobile developers to recognize and report problems and issues - Be actively involved in testing life cycles such as Functional, Regression, End2End, Alpha & Release Testing - Design and execute tests for edge or rare cases, and replicate real users' actions - Identify and implement QA processes and best practices Key Qualifications: - Minimum 3 years of manual testing experience with mobile apps - Minimum 2 years of test automation development experience for mobile - Familiarity with testing native mobile applications, IDEs, testing tools, and profiling tools - Experience with testing tools such as Appium, ADB, Postman Rest API, Charles Proxy - Experience with Python for automation and programming languages such as Java and/or Swift - Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts, version control systems, HTTP/S communication, Bluetooth, Location functions, JSON formats, Android Studio, Xcode, Instrumentation, and Profiling tools - Experience working in Agile-scrum environment and using Agile methodologies and tools - Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and interact effectively with others Additional details of the company are not provided in the job description.
