About the role
Role Overview: You will be part of the Connect Technology team at NIQ, working on the new Connect platform powered by Microsoft Azure. Your role as a QA Engineer will involve developing, troubleshooting, and enhancing applications, creating automation frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability and reliability of the software products. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, troubleshoot, and enhance applications while leveraging technologies such as Cloud/Bigdata Automation, Python, Pyspark, SQL, Hive, Databricks, Airflow, etc. - Build scalable automation frameworks and test suites across different technologies. - Develop AI Automation solutions using AI ML Framework. - Create and maintain test plans, procedures, and scripts for product level integration tests. - Implement, execute, and debug automated test scripts using various technologies and tools. - Perform manual testing to ensure all functionalities of services are covered before automation. - Work closely with quality and development engineers to maintain a continuous build and deployment pipeline. - Deploy application components using CI/CD pipelines and build utilities for monitoring and automating repetitive functions. - Collaborate with Agile cross-functional teams including Operations, Infrastructure, and Tech Ops. - Research and evaluate software products and development tools, providing technical guidance and support to colleagues when required. Qualification Required: - 3-5 years of applicable software engineering experience. - Strong fundamentals in Cloud/Bigdata Automation Testing, Python, Pyspark, Machine Learning, SQL, Hive, Databricks, Airflow, UI and Service Testing, Performance Testing. - Proficiency in creating scalable big data Automation testing framework in the Cloud using Pyspark/Python. - Hands-on experience in Test Automation, Automation framework creation in Cloud, API microservice automation. - Knowledge of SQL, relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL), cloud technologies (preferably Microsoft Azure), UI and Services functional validations. - Good to have experience in AI ML and validation using AI ML framework, Selenium, TestNG, JAVA, performance testing using Load Runner or Jmeter, and DevOps Technologies like GIT Hub, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker. - Experience in Retail Domain will be a plus. - Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly. - Excellent English communication skills to effectively interface with cross-functional technology teams and the business. - Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
