About the role
As a Mid/Senior Research Scientist at NielsenIQ, you will play a crucial role in the applied research and innovation team. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze data, research appropriate techniques, and develop, test, support, and deliver proof of concepts to solve challenging real-world problems at a large scale. Here are the details of the role: Role Overview: - Analyze data and develop innovative machine learning solutions with minimal technical supervision - Understand stakeholder requirements and effectively communicate results and conclusions - Conduct feasibility studies and determine appropriate solutions based on data analysis - Work on various data challenges ensuring simplicity, scalability, reproducibility, and maintainability - Collaborate with technical fellows for integrating and deploying machine learning solutions - Foster team building, motivation, and effective team relations Key Responsibilities: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related numerate discipline - Senior experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and other AI fields - Experience with large datasets, production-grade code, and operationalization of ML solutions - Proficiency in EDA analysis, practical hands-on experience with ML models (Pytorch or Tensorflow), and evaluations - Ability to understand scientific papers and translate ideas into executable code - Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and logical thinking capabilities - Proactive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and persistence in finding answers - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English with a focus on meeting deadlines - Proficiency in Python, Pytorch, Git, pandas, dask, polars, sklearn, huggingface, docker, and databricks Qualifications: Desired Skills: - Master's degree or specialization courses in AI/ML, with a PhD in science considered an added value - Experience in MLOPs (MLFlow, Prefect) and deployment of AI/ML solutions to the cloud (Azure preferred) - Understanding and practice of LLMs and Generative AI, including experience with Robotic Process Automation, Time Series Forecasting, and Predictive modeling - Familiarity with databases such as SQL, ElasticSearch, Pinecone, Faiss - Previous experience in retail, consumer, ecommerce, business, FMCG products (NielsenIQ portfolio) As a part of NielsenIQ, you will join a diverse team of 40,000 individuals, each with their unique stories.
