As a Senior Engineer-Manual QA at NIQ Activate in Chennai, you will play a crucial role in the NIQ Activate R&D team by ensuring that the software delivered to clients is stable and free of bugs. You will utilize manual and automated testing to identify and report issues, validate the quality of releases, and conduct verifications on customers pre-production environments. Your primary goal will be to guarantee flawless performance of our products, applications, and systems, making your attention to detail and ability to execute test cases essential for success. Responsibilities: - Review and analyze system specifications. - Collaborate with QA engineers to devise effective strategies and test plans. - Execute manual test cases, analyze results, and troubleshoot issues. - Report bugs and errors to development teams for resolution. - Evaluate product code in adherence to specifications. - Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing. - Collaborate with cross-functional scrum teams to maintain quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of proven experience in manual testing as a QA Engineer or in a similar role. - At least 2 years of QA experience with production products. - BSc/ BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Proficiency in QA methodologies. - Ability to write SQL queries to facilitate testing. - Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills. - Excellent communication abilities. - Detail-oriented with an analytical and problem-solving mindset. - Strong organizational skills. - Advantageous to have familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing. - Experience with tools such as JIRA, Zephyr Scale, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, and Gherkin BDD language.
