As a Senior Manager, Digital Core, you will have the exciting opportunity to build and manage a top-tier SAP Competence Center in Chennai, India for one of the world's leading cable and energy infrastructure organizations. Your primary focus will be on establishing and leading this new SAP Competence Center, directly contributing to the company's global digital strategy. This role will involve combining SAP ownership with strategic leadership, guiding a growing team, and enabling the digital core to scale sustainably for the future. Key Responsibilities: - Own and execute the complete launch plan for the SAP Competence Center, covering governance, operating models, delivery setup, and budgets - Manage multi-phase hiring for leaders, module experts, and delivery resources - Provide functional SAP leadership, ensuring fit-for-purpose and maintainable SAP solutions - Oversee delivery governance, quality management, change control, and vendor management - Build an effective team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Qualifications Required: - 12+ years in SAP functional or delivery roles and 5+ years in people leadership - Experience establishing or scaling a delivery center or competence center - Solid SAP module knowledge and experience with end-to-end delivery lifecycle - Experience working in global, multicultural product-based environments - Experience collaborating with stakeholders across the US / Western Europe - English proficiency at a professional working level You will collaborate closely with global process owners, IT architects, business line leaders, and external vendors. This position is located in Chennai, India, with travel expected up to 1020 days per year.
