About the role
O mnissa Horizon Administrator The Senior Infrastructure Engineer possesses authoritative, deep-dive technical knowledge of the Omnissa Horizon (formerly VMware Horizon) architecture. This role focuses on the end-to-end management, deep-tier troubleshooting, and component-level health of the entire VDI ecosystem to ensure maximum platform availability. Component-Level Responsibilities User Session Triage: Rapidly diagnose individual user complaints regarding slow logons, session disconnects, peripheral redirection (USB/printing), and audio/video lagging. Profile & Data Recovery: Resolve corrupted user profiles, application state issues, and folder redirection errors within Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM). Pool & Capacity Scaling: Provision, update, and balance desktop pools (Instant Clones) to ensure desktop availability matches peak user shifts without resource exhaustion. Performance Tuning: Optimize the user experience across varying network conditions by adjusting Blast Extreme/PCoIP protocols for remote or low-bandwidth workers.
