This position is responsible for leading the planning, development, and optimization of Shopify and WordPress-based websites for global clients, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability. Day-to-day tasks include architecting site structures, configuring themes and plugins, implementing custom functionality, integrating third-party services, and collaborating with designers, developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule. The role involves supervising and mentoring a small development team, performing code reviews, enforcing best practices, and troubleshooting complex technical issues across multiple projects. The Shopify WordPress Lead also works closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and continuously improve site UX, conversion rates, and overall digital performance. Qualifications Strong Shopify expertise, including theme customization, Liquid templating, app integration, and ecommerce best practices.Advanced WordPress skills covering custom themes, plugins, PHP development, and CMS configuration.Solid front-end development abilities with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks.Experience with performance optimization, SEO-friendly development, security hardening, and cross-browser compatibility.Proven leadership in guiding development teams, conducting code reviews, and implementing development standards.Ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD practices, and collaboration tools used in modern development environments.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience in agency or product-based environments and exposure to ecommerce, SaaS, or enterprise projects is an advantage.
