WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: In this position, you will get to: - Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including domain controllers, file servers, and application servers. - Active Directory & Group Policies: Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies through Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPOs). - Virtualization Management: Administer and optimize virtual environments using Hyper-V and VMware technologies. - Backup & Recovery: Implement and manage enterprise backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness. - Monitoring & Performance: Monitor server performance, availability, and capacity; fix and resolve system issues proactively . - Patch Management: Apply system updates, patches, and service packs in accordance with security and compliance standards. - Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of server configurations, procedures, and infrastructure changes. - Collaboration: Work closely with network, security, and application teams to support integrated IT operations and projects. - Azure Platform Administration: Manage and administer Azure infrastructure including Virtual Machines, App Services, Storage, Networking, Azure AD, RBAC, and subscription governance. Perform BAU operations aligned with SOPs and runbooks. - Azure Incident Management & Troubleshooting: Act as the first line of ownership for Azure-related production incidents. Troubleshoot issues across compute, storage, networking, Azure AD, RBAC, VPN, VNET peering, NSGs, and Load Balancers. Perform RCA and implement fixes to prevent recurrence. - SOP-Driven Cloud Operations: Execute and adhere to SOPs, maintain operational consistency, improve runbooks based on recurring incidents, and ensure compliance with SLAs, audit requirements, and operational standards. - Terraform & Azure DevOps Support: Use Terraform for provisioning and modifying Azure infrastructure, troubleshoot deployment and state-related issues, support drift detection, and assist with Azure DevOps pipeline support, debugging, and CI/CD infrastructure workflows. - Azure Monitoring, Security & Governance: Monitor Azure environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Optimize resource utilization and cost, maintain RBAC, Azure Policies, governance frameworks, and Azure Key Vault, and ensure compliance with organizational security standards. - Participation in an after-hours on-call rotation YOU HAVE: - Academic background in Bachelors - Previous experience in or with 5 - 10 years of experience in server administration and hands-on Azure administration within a mid-to-large scale workplace - Skills o Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025) o Active Directory and Group Policy Management o Hyper-V and VMware vSphere/ESXi o Backup platforms (Commvault preferred) o Azure administration including Azure VMs, App Services, Storage, Networking, Azure AD, RBAC, Backup, and subscription governance o Azure Incident troubleshooting across compute, storage, Networking, Identity, Access, VPN, VNET peering, NSGs, and Load Balancers o Working knowledge of Terraform, Azure DevOps pipelines, PowerShell or Bash scripting, and monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log analytics, and Application Insights .
