About the role
As a COBOL Programmer with 8-10 years of experience, your role will involve working directly with Banking client personnel as a consultant to support the FDIC Sweep program on Agiletics application and other peripheral banking interfaces. Your responsibilities will include supporting Check Processing, Image Processing, ARP, Demand Deposit Reporting, and Investor Banking. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing COBOL programs based on user specifications. Additionally, you will provide technical assistance in solving software problems and possess in-depth knowledge of technical tools available for systems development and support. You will also be part of the 24x7 on-call rotation. Key Responsibilities: - Work directly with Banking client personnel to support the FDIC Sweep program and other banking interfaces - Support Check Processing, Image Processing, ARP, Demand Deposit Reporting, and Investor Banking - Analyze, design, and develop COBOL programs based on user specifications - Provide technical assistance in solving software problems - Possess in-depth knowledge of technical tools for systems development and support - Participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation Qualifications Required: - 8-10 years of programming experience in COBOL applications, preferably in banking - Must have experience with Cobol, CICS, VSAM, DB2, and at least 5 years of recent banking experience - Nice to have experience with Easytrieve, Zeke, Changeman, INSYNC, Dumpmaster, Tracemaster, MQ, Assembler, SQL, and SoapUI - Strong problem-solving capabilities and communication skills (verbal and written) - Experience with FDIC Sweep program is a bonus Please note the shift timing for this role is from 2 PM to 11 PM India Time, and the position is based in Chennai. Working from the office for all 5 days is mandatory.
