Role & responsibilities Position Summary The Staff Engineer Stack NPI is responsible for leading stack configuration management, Bill of Materials (BoM) governance, engineering change control, and product lifecycle management for electrochemical stack products. This role serves as the primary interface between Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management to ensure seamless implementation of product changes while maintaining production continuity, compliance, and product integrity. Stack BoM Ownership and Release Management Lead the release of stack Bills of Materials (BoMs) for all engineering changes impacting fit, form, and function. Own and maintain stack BoMs throughout the product lifecycle. Ensure correct BoM deployment and usage during production ramp-ups. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate change readiness before release. Engineering Change and Lifecycle Management Drive product and component lifecycle management through ECNs and configuration control processes. Assess engineering changes for technical, quality, cost, and supply chain impacts. Ensure timely implementation of approved changes. Establish robust change management processes and traceability. Change Control Board (CCB) Leadership Lead pre-CCB reviews and Change Control Board meetings. Facilitate stakeholder alignment on change proposals and impact assessments. Drive action closure and implementation of approved changes. Deviation and Production Continuity Management Develop, review, and track manufacturing deviations to support uninterrupted production. Work with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to evaluate risks. Absorb temporary deviations into future ECNs through CCB approval processes. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Chemical or a relevant engineering discipline. 5+ years of experience in NPI, product engineering, lifecycle management, or manufacturing engineering.
