About the role
As an entry-level SASE Infrastructure Specialist at Open Systems, you will be responsible for migrating and deploying customer environments, running high-stakes operations, communicating with customer engineers, automating tasks, and coordinating with internal DevOps and platform teams. You are expected to absorb information quickly, take ownership, and thrive in a dynamic environment that values continuous growth and learning. Key Responsibilities: - Migrate and deploy customer environments including firewalls, secure web gateways, ZTNA, SD-WAN, IPSec, and hybrid cloud interconnect to Azure. - Run high-stakes operations such as incident response, root-cause analysis, and change execution under customer SLAs. - Communicate directly with customer engineers and architects in a clear, technical, and professional manner. - Automate tasks using Python, bash, and vendor APIs to eliminate manual repetition. - Coordinate with internal DevOps and platform teams on shared infrastructure. Qualifications Required: - Production experience operating enterprise network and security stacks at the CLI with advanced knowledge in NAT, policy routing, BGP, OSPF, and IPSec troubleshooting. - Experience with at least one major SASE/NGFW vendor such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Zscaler, Netskope, or Cato. - Proficiency in Azure networking including VNets, peering, gateways, and hybrid connectivity. - Experience with Python or bash scripting against vendor APIs in a production environment. - Strong customer-facing communication skills in English, especially under pressure and with technical and non-technical counterparts. - Hands-on experience with CLI configuration and shipping. Preferred Qualifications: - Certifications such as PCNSE, NSE 7+, CCNP Security, or equivalent. - Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or telecom, or a proven track record in the field. - Experience in an MSP or carrier background working against external SLAs.
