About the role
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable microservices in production environments. Your key responsibilities will include: - Building and managing RESTful and SOAP-based APIs - Taking end-to-end ownership of complex technical projects from planning to execution - Developing and optimizing enterprise-level platforms such as ad solutions or high-scale systems - Performing code reviews and proactively managing technical debt - Troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues - Analyzing system performance and implementing improvements - Handling release deployments and production support - Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment The required skills for this role include: - 8+ years of experience in application development using Java and JavaScript - Strong hands-on experience with microservices architecture - Expertise in designing and developing RESTful services and APIs - Experience with SOAP and REST APIs - Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Experience with at least one database: MongoDB, MariaDB, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, or other NoSQL databases - Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services - Experience with CI/CD pipelines - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) In addition to the above, it is good to have experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher, as well as exposure to telecom domain systems. As a Full Stack Developer for Workflow Automation Systems, you will be involved in full stack development, designing, developing, and delivering features across the entire stack including frontend, backend, databases, and messaging systems. Your responsibilities will include: - Building scalable microservices, APIs, and service workers - Working with technologies like React, RxJS, Golang, Node.js, MongoDB, and MySQL - Contributing to system design and proposing scalable, high-performance solutions - Improving application performance, maintainability, and reliability - Ensuring adherence to coding standards, design principles, and best practices - Actively participating in Agile ceremonies and collaborating with cross-functional teams - Leveraging tools like ChatGPT, GitLab Duo, and Gemini for code development, test generation, and optimizations - Writing clean, testable, and maintainable code - Owning unit testing, automation, and overall code quality - Supporting testing, deployment, and production monitoring The required technical skills for this role include expertise in React.js, Redux, TypeScript, CSS/SCSS, RxJS for frontend development, and Java/Golang/Node.js for backend development. Additionally, experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases, relational databases like MySQL, messaging systems, event-driven architecture, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, SOLID principles, design patterns, debugging, test-driven development, and Domain-Driven Design is essential. It is also beneficial to have experience with HTTP/2, gRPC protocols, RESTful services, messaging platforms, and high-scale or distributed production systems. Qualifications required for this position include a BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science or related field, along with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
