ARCHITECT: Design Research | Site Execution | SketchUp | AI-Enabled Design Reporting To Design Manager / Head of Product Design Studio Experience: 4 6 Years Location: Hyderabad (Site & Studio) Role Type Individual Contributor Design & Execution ABOUT THE ROLE Organo Eco Habitats is looking for an Architect who brings together two qualities that are rarely found in equal measure: the ability to think beautifully and execute rigorously. You will be embedded in the Product Design Studio designing, researching, and delivering across residential and eco-habitat projects while also owning the translation of those designs into real, built spaces on site. This is a role for someone with a trained design eye, genuine curiosity about materials and space, and the hunger to see their work standing in the ground. You will use SketchUp as your primary modelling and communication tool, harness AI-enabled design workflows to accelerate ideation, and bring design research rigour to every project brief. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Design & Concept Development Develop architectural concepts from brief to schematic design, across residential, community, and eco-habitat typologies. Produce SketchUp models, design drawings, and presentation boards that communicate design intent clearly to internal teams and clients. Translate design research insights into spatial decisions materiality, proportion, light, and landscape integration. Collaborate with the concept and execution teams to ensure design cohesion across all project stages. Prepare and present design options at internal reviews with confidence and clarity. 2. Design Research & Precedent Study Lead design research for assigned projects precedent studies, material exploration, typological analysis, and user insights. Build and maintain a structured reference library of design precedents, material palettes, and spatial typologies. Produce concise design research reports and mood boards that inform concept development and client presentations. Stay current on global architectural trends, vernacular approaches, and sustainable building innovations. Identify emerging materials, construction methods, and spatial strategies relevant to Organos product positioning. 3. AI-Enabled Design Workflows Actively use AI tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion, or equivalent) for ideation, moodboarding, and concept visualisation. Leverage AI-assisted drafting tools and prompt-based design assistants to accelerate design exploration and iteration. Prototype and share learnings on new AI-design tools with the wider PDS team contributing to studio capability. Combine AI-generated visuals with hand sketches and SketchUp models into coherent, high-quality design narratives. 4. Site Execution & Construction Oversight Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction quality against approved drawings and design intent. Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material samples; issue approvals or mark-ups with clear instructions. Identify and resolve design-to-execution gaps in a timely manner coordinating with contractors, consultants, and the PMO. Maintain site observation reports with photographs and action logs; escalate deviations to the Design Manager. Ensure finishes, materials, and built outcomes align with the approved design vision. Support snag resolution and handover documentation, ensuring design quality is preserved to the end. 5. Technical Documentation & Coordination Prepare and coordinate working drawings, GFC (Good for Construction) drawings, and design detailing packages. Coordinate with structural, MEP, and landscape consultants to integrate specialist inputs into design documentation. Ensure drawings comply with applicable local authority regulations, RERA requirements, and Organos documentation standards. Maintain well-organised design files, version histories, and drawing registers. What wea are looking for & Non-Negotiables 4 6 years of professional experience in an architecture firm or design studio. A demonstrably strong eye for design your portfolio must show it, not just state it. Advanced proficiency in SketchUp for both design development and client communication. Hands-on site execution experience: you must have been on sites, not just in studios. Genuine design research capability ability to go beyond Pinterest and build structured, insight-led references. Working experience or active curiosity with AI-design tools at minimum, a strong desire to learn and integrate them. Proficiency in AutoCAD for working drawings and documentation. Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from a recognised institution. Strongly Preferred Experience in residential or mixed-use real estate projects. Proficiency in Lumion or Enscape for real-time visualisation alongside SketchUp. Familiarity with Rhino or parametric design tools (Grasshopper) for exploratory geometry. Working knowledge of sustainable design principles, passive design strategies, and eco-sensitive building approaches. Experience preparing or reviewing RERA-compliant drawings and area statements. Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for design presentations.
