About the role
As a Cyber Incident Response Lead at Owens & Minor, your role involves investigating and responding to cyber threats by reviewing security alerts escalated by SOC analysts, investigating incidents to determine scope and impact, containing and remediating incidents, recording incident details in tracking systems, executing response protocols, and escalating incidents when necessary. You will also communicate with end users, collaborate with IT, Legal, and HR teams during incident response, and perform additional duties as directed. Key Responsibilities: - Review security alerts escalated by SOC analysts to identify incidents - Investigate incidents to determine scope and impact - Take steps to contain and remediate incidents - Record incident details, artifacts, and evidence in tracking system - Execute response protocols and playbooks - Communicate with end users to collect information and resolve issues - Collaborate with IT, Legal, and HR teams during incident response Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of experience in cyber incident response and investigations - 5 years of experience in analyzing email headers and contents - 3 years of experience in malware investigation and offline malware analysis techniques - 2 years of experience in leading cybersecurity incident investigation and response - Strong understanding of SIEM log analysis, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) capabilities, network protocols, investigation techniques, and the MITRE framework - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision - Ability to create documentation and presentations for peers and management If you are interested in joining Owens & Minor as a Cyber Incident Response Lead and have the required qualifications, we encourage you to apply.
