Java Backend Developer

As a Java Backend Developer at Pattem Digital, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring WebFlux. Your role will involve designing and implementing RESTful and reactive APIs, working with databases (preferably MongoDB), and optimizing performance through multithreading, concurrency, and reactive programming. Collaboration with frontend teams, QA, and product managers will be essential, along with debugging and troubleshooting production issues. Ensuring clean, maintainable code, participating in code reviews, and upholding coding standards will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring WebFlux - Design and implement RESTful and reactive APIs for scalable applications - Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL MongoDB preferred) - Implement multithreading, concurrency, and reactive programming for performance optimization - Collaborate with frontend teams, QA, and product managers - Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code - Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards - Ensure application performance, scalability, and security Qualifications Required: Technical Skills: - Strong hands-on experience in Core Java (OOPs, Collections, Multithreading) - Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring WebFlux - Good understanding of Microservices architecture - Experience with MongoDB / SQL databases - Knowledge of Java Streams, Exception Handling, Concurrency, and Reactive Programming - Familiarity with Linux environment - Experience with Git, Maven, CI/CD pipelines - Understanding of API design, reactive systems, and system architecture Experience & Education: - 56 years of experience in backend development - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field Soft Skills: - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Good communication and teamwork abilities - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Ownership mindset and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Kafka or event-driven architecture - Exposure to AWS or cloud platforms - Experience working in Reactive systems / high-throughput applications - Experience working in Agile environments As a Java Backend Developer at Pattem Digital, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring WebFlux.
