Role Overview: You will be responsible for analyzing motor designs and providing recommendations to support VA/VE, Compliance, and NPD projects. This includes evaluation of motors manufactured by Pentair as well as those sourced from other manufacturers. Your role will encompass capacitors, starting switches, overloads, and other components essential for motor operation. Furthermore, a good understanding of VFD's and their impact on motor functionality is required. People management is also a key aspect of this role as you will oversee two motor engineers. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze motor designs and make recommendations for VA/VE, Compliance, and NPD projects. - Evaluate motors manufactured by Pentair and other suppliers, including associated components like capacitors, starting switches, and overloads. - Demonstrate expertise in VFD's and their influence on motor operation. - Manage a team of two motor engineers effectively. Qualifications Required: - B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering or related fields. - Minimum of 12 years of experience in designing single and three-phase motors, with a preference for fractional and integral HP motors. - Proficient in lamination materials, processing, coatings, and performance data analysis for loss separation. - Skilled in selecting thermal protectors and familiar with motor manufacturing processes. - Knowledgeable about motor component dimensioning, tolerances, and induction motor testing methods. - Experience with Electromagnetic simulation software and regulatory standards such as UL, ETL. - Familiarity with VFD Drives application and programming parameters, as well as proficiency in SolidWorks. Additional Company Details: - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning, and coordination skills are essential. - Strong communication and presentation abilities are required. - Experience in collaborating with global teams, particularly from the USA and Europe. - Active participation in product development processes, VA/VE, NPD activities, and design brainstorming sessions is expected.
