About the role
We are seeking a skilled Powertrain Engineer with expertise in MATLAB and scripting to support powertrain development activities for our client, Stellantis, in Auburn Hills, MI. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development, simulation, and validation of powertrain control systems.
Responsibilities

Develop and validate powertrain control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink.

Create automation scripts to streamline data analysis and testing processes.

Analyze vehicle and bench test data to support calibration and development efforts.

Interface with cross-functional teams including calibration, controls, and diagnostics.

Support issue identification, root cause analysis, and resolution for powertrain systems.

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (Master’s preferred).

Strong experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and scripting (e.g., Python, Shell, or equivalent).

Solid understanding of internal combustion engines, transmissions, and hybrid/electric powertrains.

Prior experience with automotive testing tools and CAN communication (e.g., CANape, CANalyzer) is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
