Job Title: Software Test Engineer – Embedded/Linux Testing

Location: Portage MI

Duration: Long Term

Required Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field

4+ years of experience in software testing within a Linux environment

Experience with Python, C, or C++

Experience with embedded systems testing and verification

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and debugging

Experience executing manual and automated test cases

Ability to work onsite in Portage, MI four days per week

Responsibilities

• Support embedded software verification and validation activities

• Execute manual and automated test protocols

• Analyze test results and assist with defect debugging/resolution

• Perform OS updates and system bring-up activities

• Collaborate with embedded and OS development teams for integration testing

• Develop and maintain test scripts using Python, C/C++, or MATLAB

• Document testing activities, defects, and validation results in Jira/JAMA

• Preferred Skills

• Experience in regulated industries such as Medical Devices

• Familiarity with Yocto Linux or custom OS environments

• Experience with JAMA, DOORS, Jira, or similar tools

• Knowledge of GitLab and CI/CD pipelines

• Understanding of SDLC, validation, and verification processes
