Database Administration & Lifecycle Management Manage full database lifecycle including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and decommissioningPerform database provisioning, schema management, and storage optimizationExecute database migrations, upgrades, and platform modernization initiativesB. High Availability & Disaster Recovery Implement and manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM environmentsDesign and support disaster recovery strategies and failover mechanismsEnsure business continuity through resilient architecture and validation testingC. Performance Tuning & Optimization Monitor database performance and conduct query optimization, indexing, and partitioning strategiesPerform capacity planning and performance trend analysisLeverage OEM and OCI observability tools for proactive monitoringD. Backup, Recovery & Data Protection Define and execute backup strategies using RMAN and enterprise toolsPerform database recovery, restore, and disaster recovery drillsEnsure data integrity and compliance with recovery SLAsE. Security & Compliance Implement database security controls including encryption, access control, and auditingManage Oracle Security, Oracle Key Vault (OKV), and compliance requirements (SOX, HIPAA, etc.)Apply patches and security hardening practices aligned with policies F. Cloud & Platform Modernization Administer Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environmentsSupport cloud migration, hybrid architecture, and database transformation initiativesImplement OCI services including monitoring, logging, and automation frameworksG. Incident, Problem & Change Management Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents and performance issuesConduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measuresParticipate in CAB processes and change management workflows H.
