About the role
You will be responsible for the following in your role as a Linux System Administrator: - Monitor data-center health using existing management tools and respond to hardware/OS related issues promptly. - Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including servers, switches, and security updates. - Develop and maintain procedures and working practices for the efficient operation of hardware and software. - Schedule and supervise all maintenance and installation work, including major configuration changes and upgrades. - Influence the design and development of systems and services to optimize operational efficiency. - Liaise with service vendors for the management and support of storage infrastructures. - Utilize architectural knowledge of Enterprise SAN and SAN FC switches. - Provide hands-on support for operational activities and troubleshooting in the areas of storage arrays. - Assist application teams with troubleshooting and technical support. - Perform routine audits of all systems, including backups. - Demonstrate complete knowledge of Dell Servers and VMware Virtualization. - Manage SLAs and prepare reports. - Prepare documentation as per ITIL framework, including SOP, RCA, SIP, ABD, etc. - Conduct BCP Drills and ensure RPO and RTO compliance. - Participate in VA and PT activities. - Be a team player, self-motivated, and stay up-to-date with Information Technology trends. - Possess good communication skills.
