Business Analytics Lead Analyst – IHDS Finance

Position Summary

The Medical Economics team is responsible for transforming healthcare claims and eligibility data into actionable insights that drive affordability, optimize medical trend, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive healthcare analyst to help elevate the capabilities of our Medical Economics team and deliver impactful insights to Network, Clinical, and Fraud, Waste & Abuse (FWA) stakeholders. This role combines advanced healthcare analytics, dashboard development, and business partnership. The successful candidate will identify savings opportunities, develop scalable visualization tools, and work closely with stakeholders to translate insights into measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Analyse healthcare claims and eligibility data to identify cost drivers, utilization trends, and savings opportunities

• Develop clear, data-driven recommendations that support business decision-making

• Partner with Network, Clinical, and FWA teams to translate insights into actionable interventions

• Design and develop self-service Qlik Sense dashboards that enable stakeholders to quickly identify opportunities and trends

• Support stakeholders in contracting strategy and provider negotiations, clinical pathway optimization and FWA detection

• Quantify the financial impact of new and existing savings initiatives to support annual planning process

• Contribute to the development of new analytical approaches, tools, and methodologies

• Collaborate with actuarial and analytics teams to leverage existing capabilities and avoid duplication of efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Statistics, Actuarial or equivalent)

• 7+ years of experience in health insurance analytics

• Strong understanding of cost drivers in health insurance (utilization, pricing, behaviour)

• Proficiency in SQL, data manipulation tools and data visualization platforms (Qlik Sense preferred)

• Excellent analytical, stakeholder management and presentation skills required
