As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Pinkerton, you will play a crucial role in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting business data to generate actionable insights. Your responsibilities will include: - Representing Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence. - Designing, developing, and maintaining BI dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical requirements. - Building and optimizing data models to ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across sources. - Developing DAX/SQL queries for complex calculations, automation, and performance optimization. - Identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies to support strategic and operational decision-making. - Ensuring BI solutions follow governance, security (including RLS), and documentation standards. - Supporting stakeholders through ad-hoc analysis, storytelling with data, and continuous improvement of BI solutions. Recommending opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments. - Creating complex stored procedures, views, and data aggregation through table joins/queries. - Analyzing and translating business needs into visualization solutions. - Providing technical documentation for knowledge transfer, technical training, and coaching for project stakeholders. - Performing any other duties as assigned. Qualifications required for this role include: - At least 4-5 years of hands-on experience in data modeling, visualization, and managing databases. - B TECH/MCA degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science from a recognized university. - Advanced Power BI Skills, proficiency in creating complex DAX measures, and leveraging visualizations for compelling data storytelling. - Practical experience in loading database tables and building Fabric-based data lakes. - Expertise with the Power Platform ecosystem. - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, adapting to project needs. In terms of working conditions, you will need the physical and mental capacity to effectively perform all essential functions, which include regular computer usage, occasional reaching and lifting of small objects, operating office equipment, frequent sitting, standing, and/or walking, as well as travel as required.
