Production Engineer - Fabrication and Welding

Role Overview: As a Production Engineer at Ettle Industrial, your main objective is to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely execution of all production processes, from costing to fabrication, assembly, finishing, and quality control. Your role is crucial in scaling Ettle Industrial's stainless-steel and modular furniture systems. You will be hands-on and fabrication-first, working closely with the design team to interpret drawings accurately and guide the fabrication workflow for various products. Key Responsibilities: - Read and interpret technical drawings, coordinating with the design team for alignment and updates. - Oversee daily fabrication workflow for SS/MS products, modular workstation systems, railings, tables, benches, and utility structures. - Guide welders, fitters, grinders, bending operators, and polishing teams to ensure correct sequence of operations. - Prepare accurate costing sheets, estimate fabrication hours, track material prices, and plan raw material consumption. - Develop and execute QC checklists, inspect incoming raw materials, welds, bends, assemblies, and final dimensions. - Act as a coordinator between design, fabrication floor, and finishing, troubleshoot shop-floor problems, and validate first-piece approval. - Maintain documentation including BOMs, fabrication notes, and cutting plans while slowly building skill in engineering software. - Oversee logistics, dispatch management, vendor coordination, systems development, and continuous improvement processes. Qualifications Required: - Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical/Production Engineering preferred. - Strong hands-on experience with SS/MS fabrication processes. - Willingness to learn CAD and engineering software. - Understanding of manufacturing tolerances, jig logic, and structural reasoning. - Strong ownership, discipline, and communication skills. - Ability to work under deadlines with precision.
