Senior Design Engineer

As part of our next phase of growth and expansion into a new manufacturing facility, we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to strengthen our engineering capabilities and support product innovation. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor the design team.Creating perfect machine draftings & BOM for ongoing projects.Issue draftings at the right time, to support manufacturing to the fullest, as a backbone system to the Production Department & Purchasing Department by providing the right BOM's.Drive standardisation and modularisation across machine platforms, once the candidate understands machines.Develop and maintain manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).Collaborate with production teams to improve manufacturability and product quality.Establish engineering standards, revision control practices, and change management processes.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and management to ensure smooth project execution.Contribute to the successful scaling of operations as part of our manufacturing expansion plans. Requirements Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.815 years of experience in machine building, capital equipment manufacturing, or industrial machinery.Proven experience leading engineering/design teams.Must have strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks (3D modelling, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and BOM generation).Strong understanding of manufacturing drawings, BOM management, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and engineering change management.Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and leadership skills.
