About the role
C++ Developer CAE/FEA Job Description We are looking for a highly skilled C++ Developer to join our engineering software team on a contract basis. The role involves developing and enhancing reader/writer functionality for leading CAE/FEA solver interfaces while ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software. Key Responsibilities Develop and enhance reader/writer functionality for CAE/FEA solver formats. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software issues. Optimize code performance, scalability, and maintainability. Develop and execute Unit Tests, Verification Tests, Build Verification Tests (BVT), and Functional Tests (FNC). Investigate and resolve issues identified through automated and manual testing. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design and implement robust solutions. Document technical designs, implementation details, and test results. Required Skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Strong hands-on experience in C++ development. Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills. Experience in software component development and maintenance. Knowledge of unit testing, verification testing, and code optimization. Experience with Git version control. Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Python, Tcl, or Shell. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills Experience with CAE/FEA solver interfaces or engineering software. Familiarity with one or more of the following: OptiStruct Radioss LS-DYNA Abaqus ANSYS Nastran PAM-CRASH Experience with large-scale engineering applications. Exposure to software verification and validation processes. Experience working with global engineering teams.
