Assistant Manager NPD

Job Description You will be working in our New Product Development (NPD) Department in Chennai, specializing in injection-molded plastic components. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and assisting with product development initiatives, from concept ideation to design, prototyping, testing, and successful production launch. Your responsibilities will require solid knowledge of injection moulding procedures, plastic product design, project management abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities - Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and plans for NPD projects. - Supervise or perform the preparation of technical drawings and 3D CAD modelling for new plastic parts and assemblies. - Review test findings and implement design revisions based on feedback. - Oversee the initial mould trials and adjust moulding process parameters to achieve the desired part quality and cycle time. - Foster a culture of creativity, teamwork, and continuous development within the division.
