About the role
As an AWS Cloud Software Engineer, your role involves developing, testing, and maintaining applications in AWS Cloud Services. You will be responsible for building a holistic understanding of the underlying applications and domain, as well as supporting data integration scripts using Python within the overall program/module framework. Key Responsibilities: - Understand business processes and needs - Develop and manage AWS development and migration programs - Build Data Integration scripts using Python for integrating with upstream/downstream systems in the AWS Cloud Services ecosystem - Develop application code while adhering to coding standards - Recommend changes to improve established Data Integration processes - Resolve queries/issues and provide application/functional support - Build a holistic understanding of applications and the underlying domain - Provide solutions or alternatives to avoid potential problems Qualifications: - Possess problem-solving, analytical, time management, and decision-making abilities - Must have an engineering mindset with a strong desire for continual self, team, and organizational improvement - Strong technical skills with knowledge of SDLC - Good aptitude, positive attitude, strong reasoning, and communication skills - Must be a good team player - Possess good analytical skills and be research-oriented - Good communication skills with the ability to persuade and clearly identify audiences - Utilize good judgment in communication and understand development methodology, standards, and principles - Begin to establish business and customer expectations and relationships - Create technical documentation around business requirements with clarity, completeness, and specificity Good To Have: - Experience with Azure DevOps - Familiarity with AWS Services such as CDK or Yaml, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, Quicksight, API Gateway, and Cognito - Hands-on experience with any reporting tool Education: - Graduate with a Bachelor's degree in any stream Reporting Relationship: - This role will report to Delivery Manager/Senior Delivery Manager Additional Information: - Ability and willingness to work across various Cloud Architecture/SysOps/DevOps initiatives - Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a fast-paced, Agile environment - High-level understanding of systems and processes supported by the system - Sound technical skills, high aptitude, positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication, and time management skills Competencies: - Make sound business decisions - Embrace Change - Build strong Partnerships - Get results - Act Strategically - Lead Cultivate Talent As an AWS Cloud Software Engineer, your role involves developing, testing, and maintaining applications in AWS Cloud Services.
