As a Backend Engineer specializing in design algorithms, your key responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing backend algorithms supporting 3D geometry computation and design automation. - Implementing efficient data structures and algorithmic solutions using Java and relevant object model libraries. - Developing and optimizing algorithms for automating structural geometrical placements and design processes. - Collaborating with frontend engineers to integrate backend algorithms with visualization and rendering layers. - Utilizing cloud infrastructure, especially Google Cloud services, to facilitate scalable geometry processing. - Analyzing and refining existing algorithms to enhance performance, accuracy, and reliability. - Working with cross-functional teams to translate design and engineering requirements into scalable backend solutions. - Documenting algorithmic approaches, methodologies, and technical best practices. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. - Strong backend development experience with Java. - Experience in implementing complex algorithms and working with advanced data structures. - Familiarity with object model libraries and common design patterns. - Experience using Google Cloud services within backend systems. - Understanding of structural geometry, computational geometry, or design automation techniques. - Exposure to generative AI algorithms or algorithmic design approaches is highly valued. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
