Assistant Vice President - Engineering

As an Engineering Lead for the eCommerce platform, you will be responsible for leading the development and innovation of the platform to drive growth and operational excellence. Your role involves a combination of strategic thinking and technical expertise. Here's what you will be doing: - Define and execute the technology roadmap in alignment with business goals and customer needs. - Drive innovation to enhance platform scalability, reliability, and performance. - Oversee the design, development, and deployment of core platform features. - Ensure seamless integration with third-party tools and services such as payment gateways, analytics, and logistics systems. - Ensure high availability, security, and compliance of all eCommerce systems. - Lead efforts in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure optimization. - Leverage data to drive decision-making and optimize user experience. - Partner with data science teams to implement AI/ML for personalization and fraud detection. - Work closely with product, marketing, and sales teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives. - Present technical strategies and updates to the executive leadership and board. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 10 to 14 years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in tech mentorship to the team. - Proven hands-on experience in managing technology and product roadmaps for consumer-focused brands and applications. - Ideal candidate should be passionate about leveraging technology to create impactful 0-to-1 success stories, especially within consumer-driven, direct-to-consumer (D2C) product companies.
