About the role
About the Role : We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Analyst with strong experience in the Insurance domain, specifically Life Insurance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in quality assurance processes, workflow/case management systems, and will be comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and business analysts. Key Responsibilities : - Analyze Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), and related artifacts to design comprehensive test cases. - Prepare detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts to ensure full coverage of functional requirements. - Execute test cases manually and/or using automation tools where applicable. - Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA and ensure timely resolution. - Work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to clarify requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables. - Participate in requirement walkthroughs, design discussions, and defect triage meetings. - Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and work directly with business users to validate end-to-end workflows. - Be able to travel to customer locations as required for onsite project delivery, training, or support. Required Skills & Experience : - Minimum 5 years of experience in QA and software testing. - Strong domain expertise in Life Insurance processes (New Business, Underwriting, Policy Administration, Claims, etc. - Solid understanding of Workflow and Case Management platforms; exposure to BPM platforms is a strong plus. - Proven experience creating test cases from BRD/FSD documents. - Proficiency in using JIRA for defect tracking and project management. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset. - Flexible to travel for customer engagements as needed. Preferred Qualifications : - Exposure to automation testing tools or frameworks. - Knowledge of enterprise platforms such as BPM, Rules Engines, or Insurance Core Systems. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
