About the role
Product Design: Use UGNX software to create complex 3D models of products, components, and assemblies, ensuring they meet design requirements and specifications Parametric Modeling: Utilize parametric modeling techniques to establish relationships between model features, facilitating design changes and updates Part and Assembly Design: Create detailed part models, and assemble them into larger product assemblies while ensuring that all components fit together correctly Surface Modeling: Develop and manipulate complex surface models, essential for designing aerodynamic or aesthetic components like automotive bodies 2D Drafting and Detailing: Generate engineering drawings, including dimensioning, annotations, and tolerances, from 3D models to support manufacturing and assembly processes Analysis and Simulation: Perform simulations and engineering analysis using UGNX to evaluate product performance, structural integrity, and other design considerations Design Optimization: Identify opportunities for design improvement, cost reduction, and performance optimization Data Management: Use UGNX data management and product lifecycle management (PLM) capabilities to organize and manage design data, track changes, and collaborate with team members.
